How to switch from demo installation to purchased version

Problem/Question

After using a trial version, you decided to purchase Ergosoft. What do you need to consider now?


Solution/Work-Around

  1. Ensure your CodeMeter USB Dongle is plugged in and detected in CodeMeter Control Center.
  2. Close the Ergosoft ControlCenter and all related applications.
    (Wait for the completion of any ongoing printing processes.)
  3. To activate your license, click on the license ticket link in the e-mail you received.
  4. Login with your Ergosoft User Portal account.
  5. Repeatedly click on the license ticket link.
  6. Click on the "Activate License" button.
  7. Confirm the license transfer by clicking on "Transfer License Updates Now".
  8. Download the latest Ergosoft installer from "Download" section of User Portal.
  9. Uninstall the currently used Ergosoft version by double clicking the downloaded installation file.
    (The currently used version is automatically uninstalled, your user data are remain available.)
  10. After uninstallation process finished, perform a reinstallation of Ergosoft.
    Important note: Select "Dongle Version (CodeMeter)" as setup type.
     
The final license can now be used and Ergosoft can be started.
