Ergosoft licenses can be activated either on a physical dongle or on a certain PC. Once activated, the license is bound to the selected license container. Depending on the licnese container, the installation of Ergosoft RIP is slightly different. This article describes both ways. Read yourself through the step-by-step instructions or just wacht the video tutorials.

Activate and bind your lincese to a CmDongle container on your physical USB Dongle.

Step-by-Step Instruction
Log in to the Ergosoft User Portal with your email address and password. (If you don't have an account already, please register.)
When logged in, navigate to the "Download" section and download the latest version of the Ergosoft Installer.
Double-click the executable file. (SetupErgosoft...exe)
Choose your preferred language for the application and confirm the license agreement.
Set the program location. (We recommend leaving the default path as is.)
When get asked about the License container type, select “Hardware Dongle License (CmDongle)”.
Determine where you want to store all Ergosoft user data. (We recommend keeping it in the public user folder, as proposed.)
License location:
If the license container is on the computer you want to run Ergosoft, go with the first option.
If you’re installing Ergosoft on another PC but want to access the license over the local network, select the second option.
If the license is on this computer and you want other computers to be able to access it as well, select the third option.
Go back to the web browser (User Portal) and press “License Activation”.
Enter your credentials and sign in.
Copy the license ticket number to your clipboard, then paste it into the corresponding field on the license activation website. (The ticket number looks like this: Z794S-TVUGW-7RFX9-ZPEZL-TJKCK)
Click “Next” and then “Activate Licenses”.
Make sure your dongle is plugged in. Then, press on the tile with the dongle image.
On the next page, click on the CmContainer drop-down to ensure the correct dongle is selected, and continue with “Activate Selected Licenses Now”.
Once completed, confirm the license transfer with “OK”.
Go back to the installation wizard and continue.
After a few more clicks, the installation and license activation are completed.
Installation and License Activation PC-bound
Activate and bind your license to a CmAct container referring to hardware components (CPU model, MAC address, SSD serial, ...) of your PC. This method is also called dongle-free or virtual dongle.
