Does every user need to create a login to activate the license?

Problem/Question
Whether one intends to activate a permanent or an evaluation license, starting the activation, the Activation Portal website prompts to login. At this stage several questions may pop up like e. g. “Does a user need to create an own login or can I use the re-seller account?" 

Solution/Work-Around
Quick answer: No, you don't have to create your own Accound but we strongly recommend.

Some facts and hints about the License Activation Portal
Technically it does not matter which portal user activates the ticket. The license is not linked to specific user. From a commercial or legal point of view, it does matter "who" activates the license!

We strongly recommend to register and use a customer specific login. This way
  1. the ownership of the licenses is correctly reported.
  2. the user can benefit from the User Portal (Downloads, Documentation Portal, Helpcenter, Product Newsletter, ...).
  3. all licenses and dongles are linked to the customer for a better overview and faster support.

If you already signed up for the Documentation Portal, you can use the same credentials logging into the User Portal and License Activation Portal.
