Epson Edge Dashboard Media Selection

Epson Edge Dashboard Media Selection

What presetting must be made in the Epson Edge Dashboard for custom profiling?

When using an Epson HTM driver, media presets can be called up in the device options. This is usually done via the Epson Edge Dashboard for the Epson printer registered there.

When one of these media presets is selected, a media profile is also embedded in most cases. If a media preset for the medium used in production is available in the Epson Edge Dashboard, this can usually be used without any problems.

The situation is different as soon as a medium is to be used for which Epson does not provide a preset or an output quality is to be used that is not available in the selected preset.

Ergosoft offers a separate driver for some of these Epson drivers, which can be used for profiling without access via the Epson Edge Dashboard. In both cases, a media setting without an embedded media profile must be selected on the printer.

Solution/Work-Around

To create a media preset without profiling, proceed as follows

  1. Open the Epson Edge Dashboard via the taskbar in the browser
  2. Select "Printer Operation" in the  menu
  3. Select the registered Epson printer
  4. Select the "Media Settings" tab
  5. In the window at the bottom right,  click on the  icon
  6. Assign a unique media name
  7. Check the settings listed below for correctness *
  8. Click <OK>
  9. Assign the new medium to the printer via <Apply>
* Note: If an existing medium has already been printed correctly, this should be selected before creating a new medium. The settings are applied.
