How to adjust Halftoning Parameters

Problem/Question
Ergosoft RIP has quite extensive possibilities to control the usage of different dot sizes and light inks. This article is about how the Halftoning Parameter settings work.

Solution/Work-Around
The vertical axis shows the input density, the horizontal axis shows the drop size ratio.

a: A patch filled with 25% will result in 20% small drops and 80% no ink.
b: A patch filled with 50% will result in 25% medium drops, 17% small dots, and 58% no ink.
c: A patch filled with 75% will result in 25% large drops, 42% medium drops, and 33% no ink.
