Cut contour is cut twice

Problem/Question

You are working with EPS or PDF files. These files contain a path that is created in a Spot Color. In JobComposer, you assign this path as a Cut Path in the Job Cut Settings. Although all settings appear to be correct, the plotter performs the Contour Cut twice. You are now wondering, “Why does the plotter cut multiple times?” and “Why are there problems now when other files have worked?”.

Solution/Work-Around

Certain specifications for storing EPS or PDF files result in contours created around paths being converted into additional paths. These additional paths are interpreted by Ergosoft as separate cut paths, which results in the contour being cut multiple times.
 

To prevent this behavior, you need to change the storage settings. Ensure that contours created around paths are not converted into additional paths during saving. Once the file is saved with the correct settings, the extra paths are no longer present, and the Contour Cut is performed only once as intended.
