Changing Snapshot Settings to Improve Performance

Problem/Question

My Snapshots, also known as Image Previews, are taking too long to load, what can I do to load them quicker?

Solution/Workaround

There are many reasons snapshots, also known as Image Previews, might load slower than expected.
Here are the settings to check.
  1. In the Tools/Application Defaults menu, go to Snapshots
    1. Increase the cache memory setting ( Double it to start )
    2. Lower the "High resolution snapshot size" setting ( Try 1MB to start )
  2. In the Tools/Application Defaults menu, go to Extras
    1. make sure " Wait timeout for creating print job preview" is set to 0
  3. In the Tools/Application Defaults menu, go to User Preferences / Preview
    1. Change Job preview size to 256
All of these settings should help you snapshots ( Image Previews ) load faster
