Universal Driver - What is it about?
Problem/Question
You are looking for software to control e.g. a Chinese sublimation, DTF/DTG or UV printer. However, you cannot find your printer in the list of supported devices. You may ask yourself: "Why is no driver available?" or "Does Ergosoft support my printer?".
Solution/Work-Around
Some printers do not require a dedicated, model-specific driver. Instead, they use common controller languages that are widely adopted across the printing industry.
For these cases, Ergosoft provides Universal Drivers.
These drivers are designed to to work with a broad range of printer technologies and offer flexible configuration options, including:
- Printing Ink Assignment
- Support for up to 15 ink channels
- Compatibility with process colors, light colors, white ink, and varnish
- Media Size
- Support for print widths of up to 5 meters
- With the common “2x00 Series” driver license, devices with a media width of up to 2.5 meters can be operated. The media size can be adjusted flexibly, allowing multiple devices to be run using a single driver.
- Print mode
- Configurable number of passes
- Adjustable print resolutions
To verify compatibility and ensure proper setup, Ergosoft offers assisted onboarding. For this process, the following information is required.
- Main board electronics used by the printer (Hosonsoft, BYHX, etc.)
- Supported resolutions
- Ink configuration
