Recommendations for the Ergosoft 16 Sequoia installation.
Hardware
- PC: 500gb+ SSD, 4 cores CPU, 8 GB of RAM (recommended start configuration)
- OS: Windows 10 Professional (on all computers)
- Ethernet: Gigabit connection
- Network: 500 GB+ Drive for Shared Storage Folder / Production files
Note: The PCs used for the Sequoia network should be free from other tasks or applications, as this may affect stability.
Network
- Workgroup / Domain: for all PCs the same
- IP address: use static for every PCs and printer (recommended)
- Named: set a name on each PC for use in the Sequoia configuration
- Network: profile should be private (default)
- Network: enable detection
- Network: all necessary PCs have to be accessible
- Network: fast access and fast responding time are required (Shared Storage / Dongle)
- Sharing: write/read enable on public folder and Shared Storage
Note: If any image is sent to RIP in a remote machine, these images should be inside of an accessible shared location
Installer
- Master and all Sequoia workstations: must use the same build version
Note: 64-bit and 32-bit installations in combination are possible.
Licenses
- Licenses: Sequoia licenses necessary
- Dongle: min. Ref. 3 (on Master recommended)
Note: Having a backup dongle in stock might be useful to ensure production in case of a hardware issue.
