Problem/Question
Roland provides different color librarys for its printers (e.g. for metallic or textile fluo inks)
“Is there a way to use the Roland Color System Library?"
The Roland Color Libararys are usually Adobe Illustrator files (*.ai). To use them in the RIP, they must first be saved as *.ase (CMYK) or *.aco (LAB) format. How to import and save the color patches can be found in the Adobe Help.
Solution/Work-Around
To import the Roland Color Libarary ASE or ACO into the RIP follow these steps
- Go to "Tools" > "Color & Special Features" in JobComposer (top menu)
- Open "SwatchBooks"

- Click at the SwatchBooks Window on <Import>

- Select the Roland Color Library *.ase or *.aco file
- Click <Open> to import the file
