Warning: You are running out of disk space!
Problem/Question
While working in Ergosoft RIP, the warning message "You are running out of disk space! - Please clean up disk now." is constantly displayed in the Windows notification area. Why is this the case, and how can I manage it?
Solution/Work-Around
Critical low disk space inevitably leads to sporadic errors, such as print aborts, EPS/PDF rendering problems or aborts, and files that cannot be opened, among other symptoms.
The following procedure illustrates how the threshold value for triggering the low disk space warning can be set.
- Select the "Tools" tab in "Ergosoft ControlCenter"
- Open the "SystemGuard" module
- Below the "DiskSpace Observer" tab, you´ll find the corresponding setting options

To ensure optimal performance of the Ergosoft RIP, we recommend setting the “Warning Threshold” value to 25% and activating the option to display a warning message. If this threshold value is reached, it is necessary to clean up the hard disk and thus create more storage space.
