Quickly reorganize images in a job using custom distances or type of grid

Introduction

There is no faster or more flexible way to reorganize all images or image groups within a job according to customizable horizontal and vertical distances (if the objects are the same size, they form a grid). Additional rules, such as allowing or forbidding rotation and keeping the order of the objects are available.
Ergosoft offers a wide range of powerful image editing features that make it easy and efficient to adjust images and job layouts directly within the RIP. Rectangular Nesting automatically arranges all images in a job according to various specifications.
Starting with release 17.6 in Winter 2025, this feature is enhanced: in addition to predefined Rectangular Nesting presets, you can now create your own presets and assign individual names to them. The following guide illustrates the processs step by step.

Nesting - Add New Preset

  1. Navigate to drop-down menu next to Rectangular Nesting button and click on "Add New Preset"
  2. Select the desired Mode from the three provided.
  3. Optionally activate an Outer Margin and click <<OK>>.
  4. Enter the desired name and confirm with <<OK>>.
The created Nesting Preset can now be selected from the list.
