Applies to: Ergosoft RIP

Use this when:

  • Jobs are stuck on “Waiting for Print”
  • You sent a job to print but nothing happens
  • The job is processed but not printed

Problem / Question

A job has finished ripping but remains in the queue with the status “Waiting for Print” and does not start printing.

Solution / Work-Around

Cause

The PrintQueue is either:

  • Not open, or
  • Set to offline

Fix

Step 1: Open the PrintQueue

  1. Click Start PrintQueue
  2. The PrintQueue window for your Print Environment opens

Step 2: Set PrintQueue to Online

  1. Check the PrintQueue status indicator
  2. If a red dot is visible, the queue is offline
  3. Switch the PrintQueue to online

Once set to online:

  • The job will start printing automatically

Additional Check

  • In newer versions of Ergosoft RIP, the PrintQueue may be minimized to the system tray
  • Make sure the PrintQueue is not just hidden and running in offline mode
