Jobs Stuck on "Waiting for Print" – PrintQueue Offline or Not Open

Use this when:

Jobs are stuck on “Waiting for Print”
-
You sent a job to print but nothing happens
-
The job is processed but not printed
Problem / Question
A job has finished ripping but remains in the queue with the status “Waiting for Print” and does not start printing.
Solution / Work-Around
Cause
The PrintQueue is either:
-
Not open, or
-
Set to offline
Fix
Step 1: Open the PrintQueue
-
Click Start PrintQueue
-
The PrintQueue window for your Print Environment opens
Step 2: Set PrintQueue to Online
-
Check the PrintQueue status indicator
-
If a red dot is visible, the queue is offline
-
Switch the PrintQueue to online
Once set to online:
-
The job will start printing automatically
Additional Check

In newer versions of Ergosoft RIP, the PrintQueue may be minimized to the system tray

Make sure the PrintQueue is not just hidden and running in offline mode
