JobComposer: Ready for All Prepress Tasks

Dynamic Step-by-Step Progress Bars

All major wizards now feature clear, dynamic progress bars, including Density Re-Linearization, Print & Cut Environment setup, Queue wizards, and all ColorQPC modules. Users always see where they are and what comes next, making workflows faster and easier.

Environment Manager

Print and Cut Environment Managers now include a QueueView option that groups environments by queue for cleaner navigation.

Background Color Removal and Extra Channels

The interface has been reorganized for clarity. Users can now set X/Y offsets for generated white layers. A built-in unit converter (mm/pt/pica to px) helps compensate for machine tolerances.

Print Marks

Print Marks have been redesigned with a cleaner layout and collapsible sections. Labels can be placed on the sides of images with rotation options, ideal for repeated or full-width jobs where top/bottom labels cause issues.

File Formats 

  1. Faster PNG handling: Updated PNG library delivers noticeably quicker preview generation and ripping—especially for large, highresolution files. 
  2. SVG import added: Bring SVGs into JobComposer with userdefined prerender size and resolution. 

Smarter Image Import 

  1. Create a new job per page when importing multipage PDFs—no need to add pages to a single job. 
  2. Enhanced pageselection dialog: Choose how pages are imported with one click. 
  3. Remembers your last import settings and suggests them next time. 
  4. More flexible multipage handling:  
    1. Import each image into a separate job. 
    2. Import all pages without showing the pageselection dialog. 
    3. Create a new job for each page of a multipage document. 
  5. Drag & drop ready: Your last-used settings apply automatically. 

Replace Image

A new Replace Image tool lets users swap images while keeping scaling, rotation, and the original bounding box. Perfect for quick edits in complex layouts.

Image Information

All JobComposer image info is now consolidated into a single Image Information pane. For PDF, EPS, and PS files, a mini-preflight displays fonts, spot colors, and alternate color spaces.

Fotoba Enhancements

Fotoba registration bars can now be printed in white or any custom color. A white underlay is available for transparent media on printers with white ink.

Job Label 

Create dynamic onjob information labels directly within your layout:  
  1. Readymade presets: Quickly generate labels with dynamic job data. 
  2. Flexible placement: Position labels anywhere on the job - for example, beside image groups for easy identification after cutting. 
  3. Streamlined workflows: Adds clarity and reduces manual relabeling in finishing and postproduction. 
  4. Easy Access: Add via the Job Properties tab or job context menu. 

Variable Text Block 

Add fully customizable, multiline text elements with smart formatting: 
  1. Flexible multiline text: Define text blocks with adjustable width and height. 
  2. Advanced alignment options: Combine top, bottom, center, left, and right alignment settings. 
  3. Automatic line breaks: Text reflows dynamically based on field size. 
  4. Adaptive text height: Automatically adjusts when the text doesn’t fit the defined area. 
  5. Easy access: Insert via the Job Properties tab or job context menu.
