How to Print a Color Library

Problem/Question

How can I print my entire Swatchbook or Named Color Library?
How to print a color library in Ergosoft.

Solution/Work-Around

There are two options for printing a full color library in Ergosoft.   This can be helpful for output evaluation and product R&D.  Also,  you can create a full color library on fabric for your customer,  allowing their team to see exactly how certain color values translate to a particular fabric or media.   You can customize the printed library as well,  by putting your shop's name or the customer's name on the top,  and enlarging the size of the color swatches.
Keep in mind:
Printing from Swatchbooks:     Output will reflect color values as translated through your profile for the selected Print Environment
Printing from Named Colors:  Output will reflect the precise ink recipe you've specified in the selected Print Environment.    If you are using Automatic Spot Color Replacement via Named Colors,  then this option is reflective of any adjustments you've made to color values.
The process to generate a chart of your entire library is quick and easy.
Here are the steps.

For a SwatchBook

  1. Click Tools
  2. Go to Color & Special Features
  3. Click Swatchbooks
  4. Then select your Swatchbook from the dropdown list
  5. Check your settings by clicking Print Options
  6. Click Create Job
That's it, Your chart will be created in a new Job.

For Named Colors

  1. Select your Environment with the library embeded in it that you want to print
  2. Click Tools
  3. Go to Color & Special Features
  4. Click Named Colors
  5. Check your settings by clicking Print Options
  6. Click Create Job
That's it, Your chart will be created in a new Job.

For both of these methods you have some customization options.
In the Print Options menu you can change many things, for example.
  1. Font size of the color names
  2. Size of the patches
  3. How many patches to put in each row.
  4. A title can also be added to the Info Field to put your Customer's Name or anything else.

Turning your library is quick its a great way to check colors for matching,
If a customer needs a hard copy of your colors, this is a simple way to accomplish that as well.
