Grayscale TIF is converted to RGB

Problem/Question
“When I import a grayscale image into JobComposer, it is automatically converted to RGB."

Solution/Work-Around
To get more contrast and a less grainy image output, Ergosoft converts grayscale TIFs to RGB per default.
One can revert this conversion and it is also possible to switch of this default setting at all.

Revert convertion
  1. Klick context menu on the image and open "TIFF channel options..."
  2. Deactivate "Import Monochromatic as RGB"


Change default settings
  1. Navigate to Tools > Application Defaults > User Preferences
  2. Switch of toggle "Import Monochromatic as RGB" in the TIFF Import Default section
