You are using a swissQprint printer. After starting a print job from the Queue, an error message appears stating that the printer settings are missing. Naturally, you begin to wonder “Why am I getting this error message?” and “Why can't I print?”.

A Print Environment based on a swissQprint driver, controlled via the Lory interface, requires importing an SQPE file. This file can be exported from the frontend software and subsequently synchronized. 

The corresponding SQPE file defines printer-specific properties, including Halftoning Parameters, Printing Ink Assignment, Resolution, and Layer structure. Once these parameters have been integrated into the Print Environment, it is possible to control the printer.
