Error in printing HP Latex Series

Error in printing HP Latex Series

Problem/Question

You are using an HP Latex Series printer. After starting a print job from the Queue, an error message appears stating that the media information cannot be read. Naturally, you begin to wonder “Why am I getting this error message?” and “Why can't I print?”.

Solution/Work-Around

This message typically appears because the printer is in sleep mode. Before a print job can start from the Queue, the printer must be woken up. You can wake the printer using one of the following methods:
  1. On the printer panel
  2. Via the HP Web Interface
  3. Within the PrintQueue
Once the printer is fully awake and ready, the media information will be read correctly and the job will start normally.
