Error in printing HP Latex Series
Problem/Question
You are using an HP Latex Series printer. After starting a print job from the
Queue, an error message appears stating that the media information cannot be read. Naturally, you begin to wonder
“Why am I getting this error message?” and
“Why can't I print?”.
Solution/Work-Around
This message typically appears because the printer is in sleep mode. Before a print job can start from the Queue, the printer must be woken up. You can wake the printer using one of the following methods:
- On the printer panel
- Via the HP Web Interface
- Within the PrintQueue

Once the printer is fully awake and ready, the media information will be read correctly and the job will start normally.
