Error 71, Usage Period Expired

Error 71, Usage Period Expired

Problem/Question
When Starting the RIP Software an error message shows up:
The Usage Period has expired en-/decryption cannot be performed, Error 71"

This error message normally indicates that there is no valid license present in the dongle, and the trial period has reached it’s end.
In special cases it is also possible that a RIP version was started for wich the license was not created.

Solution/Work-Around
License Verification
  1. Open “Codemeter Control Center (CmContainer-Icon  )” from the taskbar
  2. Click on “WebAdmin”
  3. Create a screenshot of “CodeMeter WebAdmin” (or take a photo) that shows the complete page with all entries. If necessary, take the screenshot of the upper part, scroll down, and take another screenshot (entries in red letters indicate expired licenses)
Please send us the screenshot (or the photo) from “CodeMeter WebAdmin” plus the “Support data ZIP" file from the "Maintenance Tool" (see Link in "Useful Articles").

Version Check
  1. Check the information into the license email
  2. Install or update the correct Version
  3. Start the correct Version
