Error 1200 The specified device name is invalid

Problem/Question

After a job is sent to the device, this error message occurs in the PrintQueue window:

"Error 1200 The specified device name is invalid"


This problem usually occurs when something has been changed or renamed in an existing PrintQueue.


Solution/Work-Around
  1. Close all PrintQueues.
  2. Go to the affected PrintEnvironment.
  3. Check the port (name) and port setup (IP address, path).
  4. If necessary create a completely new PrintQueue.
  5. Link the new PQ to all Print Environments affected.
