Error 0x18088106 during creation of license request

Problem/Question
When trying to activate the license ticket online you receive an error message:
“Error 0x18088106 Error during creation of license request. Please try again"


The connection to CodeMeter dongle has been unexpectedly interrupted. This can have several causes.
  1. USB power supply is to low
  2. Unstable internet connection
  3. Inappropriate internet browser
  4. Others
Detailed information can be obtained from the event log of CodeMeter on the end user computer.

Solution/Work-Around
  1. Plug the dongle to another (isolated) USB port
  2. Optimize stability of internet connection
  3. Use one of the following internet browsers: Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome
  4. Follow the License activation instruction
