Epson SureColor SC-S806x0 Double Side Layer Printing

This article gives an introduction into configuring a Print Environment of an Epson SureColor SC-806x0 to print double side layer jobs, using different images on the top layer and bottom layer areas.

Add and Configure Epson SureColor SC-S806x0

Add a Print Environment based on either:
  1. Epson SureColor SC-S806x0 (Epson Precision Dot - HTM2 - EMX) CMYK White
  2. Epson SureColor SC-S806x0 (Epson Precision Dot - HTM2) CMYK White
and configure all print mode parameters as intended.

Choose a suitable three-layer print mode for Double Sided printing (All media presets, with Color(mirrored) Under White Under Color are suitable). When the selected print mode is compatible with doublesided printing, the option Double Sided Job will be visible. Check the box to activate it.

Create A Double Side Layer Job

The example uses one image each for top and bottom layer only. It is possible to use several images per layer, as long the position and size requirements are fulfilled.

Top Layer and White Layer

Create a new Job (activate the correct Print Environment)

Import the top layer image (1).
Position it top left.

Create the intermediate white layer with Extra Channels (2).
> Use Complete Background.
> Use no mask.

Additional recommendations:
  1. Use Image Presets to automatically deactivate Print Marks (if not needed).
  2. Use Image Presets to autoscale images of the top and bottom layers to the exact same sizes.
  3. Use Image Property Preset *Extra Channels* to swiftly generate and assign the white layer.

Bottom Layer

Import the bottom layer image (1) and Position it top right.

Note: Do not use any white layer generation on the bottom layer. It will be ignored.
