Unified Spot Color Handling

Use one Spot Color Replacement workflow for both vector and pixel formats, including TIFF, PSD, and PSB with spot channels.   
Manual edits, SwatchBook bulk updates, and automated preset assignments now all follow the same unified logic.  

SwatchBook Enhancements 

  1. HEX support: Search closest matches using RGB HEX values, ideal for designers working in HEX based environments. 
  2. New CSV export: Export original 16-bit Lab values plus primary and alternate swatch names for clean reporting and data exchange. 

NEW: Colorbook PDF Layout Generator 

Easily generate professional colorreference PDF files - perfect for sharing color standards between print providers, customers, and designers: 
  1. Flexible PDF creation: Export swatches as multipage or singlepage PDFs. 
  2. Multiple input options: Build colorbooks from installed SwatchBooks or import Lab values via CSV. 
  3. Customizable layouts: Adjust swatch size, labels, patch spacing, and number of rows/columns. 
  4. Spot or process colors: Output swatches as standard PDF spot colors or convert them to process colors. 
  5. Professional communication: Share consistent, RIPindependent color references for production or design workflows. 
  6. Visual verification tools: Add optional ellipses/circles for spotcolor replacement checks and compare rendering intents at a glance. 

Gamut Viewer Improvements 

  1. Adjustable dot size and optional lightness shading for clearer 3D color cloud visualization. 
  2. New navigation shortcut lets you rotate and inspect zoomed in areas from any angle. 

Tune: More Precise Adjustments 

Fine tune saturation, brightness, contrast, and balance with decimal level input for higher accuracy image corrections. 

Precision Tools for Color Perfectionists 

Ergosoft’s powerful color management suite just became even more intelligent. The latest enhancements give color professionals expanded control, deeper analytical insight, and superior precision - ideal for experts who accept nothing short of flawless results. 

Additional Color Measuring and Density Standards 

Two new measuring standard variants are available: 
  1. Packaging: D50 / 10 degree 
  2. Digital Imaging: D65 / 2 degree 
A new global setting allows selection of advanced Chromatic Adaption Transformation (CAT) methods: 
  1. XYZ scaling 
  2. Bradford 
  3. ICC Waypoint normalization.   
This affects all spectral color features such as Measure Color, SwatchBook imports, and ColorGPS profiling. 

Support for SCTV (ISO 20654) Density Standard - A modern, visually uniform method for calculating tone values of spot colors is now available: 
  1. New SCTV option: Use the Spot Color Tone Value standard (ISO 20654:2017) in addition to traditional densitybased methods like Status E/T/I and Ergosoft Dynamic Filters. 
  2. Optimized for spot colors: Designed for accurate tonevalue calculation of additional printer inks. 
  3. Visually uniform tone steps: Produces consistent tonal progression from substrate to solid, improving predictability and visual clarity. 
  4. Workflow guidance: For best results, set Target Dot Gain to zero/linear and switch from Dynamic OD filters to SCTV only when advised by workflow experts. 

ColorGPS CMYK++ 

Higher iteration count options enable more accurate ICC profiles. The allowed number of iterations determines how many times ColorGPS searches for a more accurate Lab and print recipe match. 

ColorGPS RGB 

Now supports a higher number of color patches for the ICC target print chart, with clearer precision levels naming for easier workflow understanding. 

ColorQPC: The Third Generation of Color Quality and Process Control 

ColorQPC enters a new level of color accuracy and visibility with powerful tools for monitoring, comparing, and visualizing printer behaviour. This update brings clearer insights, stronger controls, crossRIP color monitoring and easier color assessment across your entire production fleet.

Pure Ink Patch Generator 

Generate direct device colors for fast, reliable detection of printer channel shifts. 
  1. Creates pure ink control patches for all inks, profile inks only, or CMYK. 
  2. Bypasses color management for direct channel monitoring. 
  3. Works with new 2D/3D visuals to spot drifting channels immediately. 

CrossRIP Color Monitoring 

Create color control targets for any printer and RIP using Lab or separated TIFF output. 
  1. Supports all measuring device geometries and chart settings. 
  2. Enables consistent color control across mixed printer fleets. 
  3. Full workflow supported with the *Virtual ColorQPC Printer* connector.
