3D Gamut Viewer: Unlock New Dimensions in Color Management!

Introducing the new 3D Gamut Comparison Module, which complements the existing 2D Gamut Viewer and allows you to effortlessly generate and compare 3D gamut representations of ICC profiles. Discover the advanced feature designed to enhance your color management workflow:

  1. Customizable Visualization Options: Choose from a variety of color gamut display options including surface views, color cubes, wireframes, L-sections, solid color, and more.

  1. Image Format Support: Easily browse and analyze image files, visualizing a subset of image colors as a color cloud. Evaluate image input colors against printer color spaces. Assess how much image areas will be affected by color changes when printing!

  1. SwatchBook and Color Format Support: Select and visualize color clouds for installed SwatchBooks. The *Browse* option includes a file import filter that supports all common color exchange formats (e.g., CxF, CGATS) and color book file formats (e.g., ACB, ACO, ASE).
Understand your company color book and available printer gamut!

  1. User Definable Gamut Display: Choose to use the preview table of an ICC profile for generating the 3D gamut display, offering a more accurate representation of colors. Customize the dE value to define out-of-gamut colors, ensuring precise color management even when third-party ICC profiles lack a quality gamut table.

Halftoning Parameters: Achieve Perfect Prints with Enhanced Customization!

  1. User-Friendly Interface: The revamped halftoning/dithering parameters dialog is designed for ease of use, making it simpler to achieve improved visual printing results.
  2. New Test Print Function: Print patches in the tones of each channel and each dot size side by side. This feature simplifies the visual selection of dot sizes for full and light inks, enabling advanced custom halftoning.
  3. Customizable Settings: Export and import your custom light/full tone ink and dot size settings (ink level settings) for consistent, high-quality prints tailored to your specific needs.
  4. Streamlined Workflow: Access the halftoning dialog directly from the Calibration menu, saving time and effort.

Density Linearization Wizard: Precision and Control at Your Fingertips!

Don't be fooled! Ink saving happens here:

  1. Enhanced User Interface: The Density Linearization Correction Wizard has been revamped for a better user experience. Now, in addition to color ID, optical density, and number of pixels, chroma is displayed in the default view. Users can toggle between Lab and LCH values. A new restore function allows you to revert to original measurement values, preventing accidental or unwanted changes.
  2. 3D Visualization: The Density Linearization Wizard now offers a 3D representation of measurements, allowing you to compare them with printer gamuts or density measurements from other Print Environments. This feature helps you easily identify and address issues like oversaturation and color shifts, ensuring optimal color management.
  3. Quick Visual Test Printouts: The final page of the Linearization Correction Wizard now lets you quickly generate visual test printouts. For each channel, patches are distributed equidistantly from 0 to 100% of the available density range, making it easy to visually assess linearization correction curves - especially useful for multi-color setups.
  4. Advanced AutoLimit: Combine the new information with advanced automatic ink channel restriction to maximize ink savings while still meeting your gamut requirements. Any ink wasted here can't be recovered by any ink-saving method applied to ICC profiles afterwards.

ColorGPS: Elevate Your Color Precision and Flexibility!

Time is of the essence, and you need to get good color results quickly. Try Ergosoft's improved 1-step profiling known as QuickColor profiling

QuickColor & Advanced Ink Mixing Model: For textured or matte substrates, the new Ink Mixing Model option accounts for light scattering, providing improved color mixing prediction. This is especially useful for QuickColor profiles generated from spectral density measurements without printing a profile chart.
  1. Additional Color Patches: The Density Linearization Correction Wizard now includes an option to add extra color patches. These spectral readings are used in ColorGPS to predict the recommended scattering factor, enhancing color accuracy and vibrancy.

  1. Flexible Illuminant/Observer Standards: Easily switch between D50/2° and D65/10° standards within the same profiling session, generating ICC profiles based on the same spectral measurements.
  2. Expanded ICC Profile Rendering: The *Contrast* rendering option is now available for colorimetric intents, allowing you to manipulate colors within the gamut.

ColorCombine: Your Solution for Precise and Natural Color Screen Overlay Simulations

Adjustable Overprint Parameter based on Advanced Ink Mixing Model: Achieve most Accurate and Natural Color Overprint Simulations. Fine-tune the light scatter factor (previously hard-coded) for precise color overlays on textured or matte materials.
Get a recommended light scattering factor for your substrate with the extended density chart.

Measurement Wizard

New Auto Save Feature: After each successful measurement session, your color data is automatically saved in your user data folder. The automatic file naming scheme ensures easy identification and prevents data loss.
Need to restore steps for features like density linearization, ColorEqualizer, SwatchMatcher or ColorGPS? Our AutoSave fallback copies have you covered.

ColorWheel: Discover the Power of Harmonious Colors!

Let yourself be inspired! Introducing ColorWheel, a new feature available in several color-related modules. Create harmonious color palettes or a single color based on a user-defined base color and selected color harmony method. Explore different color harmonies to enhance your artwork.

  1. Coloration Tab in ColorCombine: Create stunning colorways with the ColorWheel. Apply the entire harmonized color palette automatically to all channels or individually to each separation via drag and drop.
  2. Color Replacement: Transform your designs with harmonious colors. Apply the entire palette automatically to all image colors (e.g., indexed textile patterns/designs, vectorized textile designs) or individually via drag and drop.
  3. SwatchBook Management: Easily add harmonious colors from a customizable base color to your color book. The ColorWheel allows you to automatically add the entire palette or drag and drop individual colors.

ColorPicker: Precision and Flexibility in Color Selection!

The ColorPicker has been reworked and new features have been introduced:
  1. Switchable Gamut Warning: A gamut warning can now be applied to the gamut slice using a customizable masking color. This feature helps prevent the selection of far out-of-gamut colors, ensuring more predictable print results.
  2. New Color Cube Views: Switch between hue, saturation, and brightness cubes to find the perfect color.
  3. Gamut Warning Icon: A new gamut warning icon alerts you if the selected color is outside the printable gamut of the active Print Environment, ensuring accurate color selection.

Color Replacement: Simplify and Enhance Your Color Management

  1. Spot Colors Replacement: Quickly add replacement color values for spot colors to the Named Colors of your active Print Environment. Add user-defined replacement colors individually via drag and drop or all at once for efficient color management.
  2. SwatchBook Interfacing: Easily add image colors (CMYK, RGB, Lab, Spot) to an existing SwatchBook, in addition to creating new ones. This update provides greater flexibility and organization in managing your color palettes.
  3. Color of Choice: When selecting a color from the color replacement list, the *Add Color to SwatchBook* function now allows you to choose between the original image color and the specified replacement color value. Experience greater flexibility and precision in your color management!

  1. Step & Repeat and PDF Integration: Now, you can parse and use the list of image colors from vector objects (CMYK, RGB, Lab) in color replacement functions after applying Step & Repeat.
